These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the By the Seasons website, store, and subscription services (the “Services”). By placing an order, subscribing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.


1. About Us

By the Seasons is an independent mail‑based subscription service offering monthly printed materials, artwork, and seasonal content. The Services are hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform and payment processing.


2. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old

  • provide accurate and complete information at checkout

  • have the legal right to use the payment method provided


3. Products and Subscriptions

Monthly Subscription (Recurring)

Our monthly subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You will be billed on a recurring basis through Shopify and Appstle.

Prepaid Packages (3‑, 6‑, and 12‑Month)

Prepaid packages are one‑time purchases. They do not auto‑renew.

Back Catalogue Purchases

Past months may be purchased individually while stock lasts. These are one‑time purchases and do not create a subscription.

Product Descriptions

We aim to describe our products accurately. Minor variations in printed materials, colours, or packaging may occur.


4. Processing Cycles and Cut‑Off Dates

By the Seasons operates on a monthly production cycle to ensure each edition arrives at the beginning of the month.

  • Orders placed on or before the 21st of the month will receive the following month’s edition. Example: Orders placed up to 21 March receive the April edition.

  • Orders placed after the 21st of the month will receive the edition for the month after next. Example: Orders placed after 21 March receive the May edition.

These cut‑off dates allow sufficient time for printing, assembly, and postal delivery.

Cut‑off dates apply to:

  • new monthly subscriptions

  • prepaid packages

  • one‑time purchases of the current month (where available)

Back catalogue purchases are shipped separately and are not tied to the monthly cycle.


5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed securely through Shopify and Appstle. We do not store or access your full card details.

When you purchase a subscription, your first payment is taken immediately at checkout. You will then be billed on the same day each month.

We reserve the right to update prices at any time. Changes do not affect orders already placed.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship physical mail to the address provided at checkout or through your subscription settings. Delivery times may vary depending on location, postal delays, or circumstances outside our control.

You are responsible for ensuring your delivery address is correct and up to date.


7. Cancellations and Refunds

Monthly Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations apply to future billing cycles and do not refund orders already processed.

Prepaid Packages

Prepaid packages are non‑refundable once the first month has been dispatched.

Back Catalogue Purchases

Back catalogue items are final sale.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us and we will make it right.


8. Use of the Services

You agree not to:

  • misuse the website or interfere with its operation

  • attempt to access systems or data without permission

  • use the Services for unlawful purposes

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if these Terms are violated.


9. Intellectual Property

All content, artwork, text, and printed materials provided through By the Seasons are owned by us and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.


10. Third‑Party Services

We use third‑party providers to operate the Services, including:

  • Shopify (store platform, checkout, payment processing)

  • Appstle (subscription management)

  • Klaviyo (email communications)

Your use of the Services may also be subject to their terms and policies.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, By the Seasons is not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • delays caused by postal services

  • issues arising from incorrect delivery information provided by you

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order.


12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
